Dr. Ralph Schoemann
In September 2007, after 42 years with the Guilford Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Ralph Schoemann
retired. He had been affiliated with GVH since his graduation from the New York State College of
Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University in 1965. He was one of the owner/partners of the practice.During his time at GVH, he had an interest in canine and feline medicine with a special interest
in dermatology. He had completed Penn Hip certification and performed the technique to
evaluate hip dysplasia in dogs.He is the proud parent of three daughters and one son and the grandparent of three sweet
granddaughters.As a long time resident of Guilford he enjoys gardening, reading and kayaking. Since his retirement
he has enjoyed these past times as well as working in the community and traveling. He recently
had the amazing experience of visiting Antarctica.
